West Indies Announced Kieron Pollard T20I and ODI Captian While Jason Holder for Test

West Indies all-rounder Kieron Pollard has been Announced captain of the ODI and T20I Cricket team while Test Cricket Team leadership has been given to Jason Holder . Karen Pollard become a captain said in his first statement that as captain his first priority will be defending the T20 World Cup title in Australia.

"I hope we will once again discuss the ideas of playing specialty cricketers at their best playing order," he said. I have played all over the world and I hope to use my experience to play a role for West Indies cricket.

Before him West Indies Cricket T20I team captain was Carlos Brathwaite and Jason Holder was the ODI captain
Pollard replaces both of them Carlos Brathwaite in T20Is and Jason Holder as the ODI captain.

32 years Pollard  recalled in recently during home series against India for T20I squad. He did not play any ODI since 2016.

In last world cup West Indies performance was poor. Under the leadership of Jason Holder Team win only two matches and on the point table was ninth position.

Pollard name was in the reserved player of world cup but he did not picked in final playing squad.


During a media briefing, Cricket West indies administrator  Ricky Skerritt said CWI was following the "best possible practices for best possible outcomes". He was also Praising Pollard, Skerritt said the all-rounder was the right man for captaincy because of "His interest and commitment to giving back to the game."

"Pollard would have been a better choice. It's not that Carlos would not have been a member in the team then... I know Carlos is magnificent as an individual, he is a wonderful guy, highly competitive guy, he will not feel hurt in any way. A lot of guys know that Pollard would have been a great choice"
