The second day of the first Test match between Pakistan and Sri Lanka, has been badly affected by the rain and only 18.2 overs have been possible to play in full the day.

On the second day of the first Test match being played at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Sri Lanka started their first day unfinished innings so Dhananjia de Silva and Niroshan Dacula were on wicket.
Today only possible to played 110 balls in the second day in first test match. When only 47 balls were thrown, even there was not completed yet for the 8th overs of the day that the rain interrupted the match and it was not resumed for 3 and a half hours.
After the rain stopped and again play resume Asad Shafiq and Harris Sohail were continued bowling.

After a few overs, Pakistan took the new ball and in the fifth over with a new ball, and soon Shaheen Shah Afridi took the wicket of Dacula's who was at 33 runs.
It was 19th over was on progress and once again match stopped due to rain.
Ground staff tried hard to make the outfield playable by drying the water in the field, but due to continuous rains it was not possible.
And till end of the day the match could not resume and the umpires announced the end of the second day game after consultation and sent players to the pavilion.
Might be this game will be ended without any result because only 18.2 overs were possible on the second day of the match and so far only 86.3 overs have been played in two days fo the this test match.
Day two match result
Sri Lanka scored 263 for the loss of six wickets at the end of the day 2, Dhananjia De Silva is on wicket with 72 runs, he played 131 ball while hit 11 boundaries.
Dilruwan Perera who played just 6 balls he scored 2 runs will continue tomorrow along Dhananjia De Silva.
As per the weather report tomorrow also not good day. It will be cloudy and some showers possible to again interrupt the proceeding of match.Play abandoned for the day and It's officially stumps on day two.
