Australia Win over India In 1st ODI Match

Australia, won the match due to the brilliant centuries of captains Aaron Finch and David Warner, beat India by 10 wickets in the first one-day match and took a 0-1 lead.


In the first match of the three-match series played in Mumbai, Australia won the toss and decided to bowl first which turned out to be good decision and  Indian team opening batsman left to pavilion on the score of 13.

After that, Lakesh Rahul came up with Shakir Dhawan and both players added 121 runs for the second wicket, presenting excellent play.

The partnership ended when Rahul returned the pavilion after scoring 47, while after adding just six runs in total, Dhawan's also given out at 47-run.

However, the real blow to India came when skipper Virat Kohli was cached only for 16 runs of Adam Zampa's ball and Sharias Iyer also managed just four runs and return back.

Ravindra Jadeja and Rishabh Pant made some resistance after setting up a half-team out for 164 and set up a 49-run partnership, but both batsmen walked after playing the innings of 25 and 28 at one end.

After that the Indian team failed to score more runs and the whole team collapsed to 255 in the last over.

Three fast bowlers from Australia showed excellent bowling and Mitchell Starc was the most successful bowler with three wickets while Pat Cummins and Ken Richardson took two wickets each.

Chasing a 256-run target, David Warner and Finch aggressively gave their team the best start and made a fiercely behave to all Indian bowlers.

Both the players completed their respective centuries without giving any chance and before 74 balls, scored the target at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

Man-of-the-match given to Warner who scored 128 playing 112 balls with help of 3 sixes 17 fours in inning, while Finch scored 110 with two sixes and 13 fours.

Australia won 0-1 in the three-match series thanks to a victory in this match.
