Day 2 Second Test Match Pak vs Sri Lanka

SL All out for 271 on day 2 of second test match Pakistan vs sri Lanka in National Stadium Karachi.

Sri Lanka's team scored 271 runs in the first innings of the second Test against Pakistan, and took advantage with scoring 80 runs lead. In response, Pakistani team confidently started the second innings, and scored 57 runs without loss till the day two end.

Second day match report

On the second day of the second and final Test match which is playing at the National Stadium in Karachi, Sri Lanka resumed their first incomplete innings with a 63-run and three wickets out.  Angelo Mathews and  Dania were started play both were present on the wicket yesterday when fist day match was stumped.


Today was the bad start for visitors and green shirts give the hard time for them in morning session. Third over of the second day Naseen Shah was bowling that time there was a chance to take wicket but Babar Azam could not handle the catch. but when score had reached 78 Amble Dania caught in slip on the bowling Mohammad Abbas, he was scored 13 runs. It was  only two overs later that Shaheen Shah Afridi took the crucial wicket of veteran Angelo Mathews. There was total 80 runs on the board. This was the big loss for Sri Lankan team.
Pakistan's position in the match was very strong after losing five wickets for 80 runs, but at this stage Chandimal and Dhananjia De Silva played outstanding against the Pakistani bowlers. Both players strengthened their team's position by completing a century and setting up a 67-run partnership for the sixth wicket.
Sri Lanka's sixth wicket fell on 147 total score, when Dhananjia Di Silva scored 13 runs dismissed on Shaheen Afridi's ball Mohammad Abbas catch it.
Immediately after the tea break, Mohammed Abbas gave Pakistan a seventh success, he sent pavilion Narushan Dacuela at 21 runs.
Dinesh Chandimal, on the other end, completed his half-century and added a 51-run stand for the eighth wicket with new batsman Dilovanne Pereira.
Sri Lanka's eighth wicket fell down at 235, Dinesh Chandi Mill, who scored 74 runs with superb batting, he was caught by Shan Masood at part time bowler Harris Sohail's ball.
It was hoped that the Pakistani team would wrap up the guest team soon, but Pereira disrupted the bowlers and added another 36 runs for the ninth wicket to strengthen Sri Lanka's position.
The Islanders' ninth wicket fell to a score of 271 Shaheen Afridi gets LBW,  Dilron Pereira who had played superb innings of 48 runs. The tenth wicket fell without any increase run in the overall score and Lahiru Kamara bowled the ball off Shaheen Afridi without a score.

Sri Lanka were dismissed for 271 in the first innings and took a valuable 80-run lead in the first innings.

Shaheen Shah Afridi bowled 5 for Pakistan while Mohammad Abbas took 4 wickets.

Yasir Shah failed once again and he did not take any wicket despite giving 43 runs, while in Naseem Shah's also there was no wicket for him.

Pakistan 2nd Innings

Pakistan started the second innings, while openers Abid Ali and Sean Masood gave the team a confident start.

When the game ended on the first day of the match, Pakistan scored 57 runs without loss and needed 23 more runs to equalize Sri Lanka's first innings score.

Abid Ali and Sean Masood have scored 32 and 21 respectively, both are betting on confidence and responsibility which will resume play tomorrow 21-12-2019 third day of the match.

Remember that the Pakistani team's batting line failed in the first innings, and the whole team collapsed to 191 runs.
