Multan Sultans win the toss and elected to bat first, in the match played at Multan Cricket Stadium on Saturday February 29. So openers James Vince and Zeeshan Ashraf gave the team a 23-run start after that, Zeeshan became the target of Naseem Shah while he was jus 8 runs. Vince and captain Shaan Masood had added 17 score partnership, then The English batsman Vince innings reached the end for the 29-run with help by 6 fours.Moeen Ali who was played well in last match, to he failed just after 4 four stroke. It was the third dismissal for MS. Score board was just 43 while 8th over was going on.
The pressure was building up on the MS due to continuously wickets was thrown without increasing much runs. The runs rate was under 6.
After falling three wickets, Riley Russo came to the crease and changed the game. The South African batsman took all the bowlers of the Quetta Gladiators in his way and start racking sixes and fours around the wicket.
The batsman completed the half-century with only 23 balls, but after the half-century, he took a more aggressive approach to the century.
Shaan Masood came out after scoring 46 off 32 balls But from the other end, Russo continued to bat well, scoring a century off just 43 balls and earning the Pakistan Super League fastest century.
Thanks to an unbeaten century from Riley Russo, the Multan Sultans scored 199 for five wickets in the stipulated overs.
At one point it seemed that the Sultans would only make 150 runs in the match. But a 139-run partnership with Riley Rosso's batting charge and captain Shaan Masood, he paved the way for his team's big score.
Quetta gladiators Innings
The Gladiators started chasing the target, while openers Jason Rowe and Shane Watson gave the team a good start to 57 runs.
